On the 3rd of October, a mild low-pressure of about 980 mbar travelled from the south-east of Greenland towards the east, crossing over Iceland on the 5th. On the 6th of October, the low-pressure system was at the north of the UK, creating westerly to south-westerly winds on the south coast of the UK (Boza, 2018).
