Several Isle of Wight towns reportedly experienced the worst flooding for several years during this event, with several other locations in Hampshire also impacted (Ruocco et al., 2011). In Cowes, 100 ft. [30 m] of stone copings and hand railings were washed away, and some areas were inundated to a depth of 2 ft. [0.6 m].
