Receptor and Consequence

On 18th February 1978, there was flooding at Chiswell, Isle of Portland following overtopping of Chesil Beach (West, 2014). 19th February 1978 was also associated with flooding at the same location. On 20th February, the combination of high tides and melting snow caused reportedly severe flooding in many locations along south Devon (Met Office, 1978).
