Receptor and Consequence

The event was associated with coastal flooding in Devon and Cornwall during this event, with a number of properties flooded in Lynmouth, Mevagissey, Looe and Kingsbridge (Met Office, 2012). Knight (2016) reported of businesses and roads which were flooded, including Bath Hostel and The Coffee Mill. The Environmentally Agency stated that 45 residential and non-residential properties were inundated. Police officers, fire fighters, coastguards and the Environmental Agency were all involved in closing off affected areas (Knight, 2016).
