This event was associated with flooding in parts of Lancashire, Cumbria and North Wales (Morecambe, Rampside, Barrow in Furness and Holyhead) according to Zong and Tooley (2003), despite the relatively moderate sea levels recorded in the region during this event (Haigh et al. 2015).
