Strong winds and a large surge caused severe overtopping of defences at Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare (Young, 2018).

Receptor and Consequence
This event was associated with coastal damage and erosion along the Sefton coast, Liverpool Bay (Haigh et al., 2015). At Weymouth, Town Bridge, commercial road and multi-storey car park flooded due to high tide (Burrows, 2017). Cumberland road and cattle market at Avonmouth also flooded under several inches of water (Young, 2018).
